Thermal imaging parties

Thermal imaging provides a hands on way of seeing where heat is being lost from your home. Why not make it into a party, do it with your neighbours and get the whole street involved?

Thermal imaging is a fun way to visually understand how heat is lost from homes and how you can treat it. Thermal imaging parties involve people from a handful of homes with a local lay expert with a thermal imaging camera going from house-to-house taking thermal images as they go. The science part can then be followed by tea/cake/pizza/beer (delete as you fancy), and a chance to talk through the images and what they mean and a report then sent to each participant.

The cameras are available for Octopus Energy customers to borrow or someone in the community may have one to rent or borrow.

In this video someone describes how he used thermal imaging to save energy in his home.
